I've tried to understand continually...how far can one person go to show love for a band. Or simply how this one man. Billy Corgan had such success with The Smashing Pumpkins. But now takes all new and old fans to the edge of their seats, with pumping action from his new band Zwan.
How I've became a fan is still somewhat unknown. It started first with a little introduction to "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness". Once I was finished with such a wonder, I instantly became a fan of "The Smashing Pumpkins" . Cd after cd I took in, and than I finally realized what his music meant, and what good music meant all together!!!.
So I than proceeded to buy "Gish" . My thoughts on that ran he understood what it was like to hurt. Doing some research into his past it was clear to see, he went through quite alot growing up. Between his father being out of his life, and marrying about 3 times. As well as..a handicapp step brother, that had nobody really to care for him. Therefore leaving him angry, and simply useless. Such a feeling someone can relate toooo, and he expressed the feeling well. Well enough for anyone to understand.
Next was "Siamese Dream"...I than was entralled with how you could notice the growth with billy. The way his music adapts steadily into different sounds, different ideas, different expressions. Such a medium I began to see. In this albulm I began to see a change in this person, not as agressive, but alot more open to what hurt him most. For me it gave me more of a way to see how I understood life, and what hurt me inside as-well. In a way you can grow with billy through each lyric, and albulm.
Billy reaches everyone of his lisners. Whether it be a song, or a whole cd. He never will disastisfy his lisener. Or at least me for that matter. I've related to his idea's, his feelings. Knowing thy self is hard to figure at the age of seventeen. He makes it a bit easier for me.
Now after I realized that Billy was on a mission to start another band. It was his promise to Matt Sweeny ten year's ago to start a band with him, once he was through with "The Smashing Pumpkins". So I came to find out about "Zwan" , and I was fucking stoked! Heh I was about to eyewitness Billy Corgan in my own viewing. Not recalling back on a time that Billy was around. Referring back to the Pumpkin era...lol I was living under a rock.
Once I came to find "Zwan" , I was so amazed. Not alone you could clearly see how Billy gave us, again...what we ached for! Something new of course. Dynamically it's clear that both "The Smashing Pumpkins", and "Zwan" . Extreamly unalike, but the same commen feel exists. They've got the force of Billy Corgan to lead a whole mission into a good music revolution. I refreshingly enjoyed the new feel of Billy. "Mary Star of the Sea" was especially something memorable. I will always associate "Mary Star of the Sea" with utter bliss. I'll always associate that cd for good momments in my life, and a crazy night in my teenage years. Something I've yet to forget....
Browse around, this second installment of a revolution. A Billy Corgan revolution that is being led by Zwanalina. Who know's eventually this may get big...I than may make millions of dollars. Than maybe our of sheer luck, I'll met Billy Corgan. Ah it is good to dream of course...
I've set up a variety of "clickables" and wonderful add on's. Such a wonder really....
